Sugar Syrup
Sugar syrup is used in many cocktail recipes. With this easy recipe you can make a really good sugar syrup at home.
Ingredients
Recipe in grams and ml
- 400 g White Sugar
- 200 ml Water
Recipe in oz. and cups
- 2 cups White Sugar
- 6,75 oz. Water
Instructions
- Put the sugar in a pan with a thick bottom, add the cold water and let it stand for 5 minuts. During these 5 minuts the sugar crystals can asborb the water and soften.
- Put the pan on low heat and stir occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved and the liquid is clear.
- Bring the syrup to a boil, reduce the heat and let the syrup boil gently for 1 minute.
- Remove the pan from the heat, if necessary, skim the syrup and let it cool.
- Pour the syrup into bottles or jars and you are done.
